Canadian Adventures have begun.......

Leaving our home town area...autumn tonings happening...

After unloading our belongings from our vehicle, time for check in...

...going through all the tickets and passports...remember there were six to book in and one to do her own...oh no...

...youngest isn't authorised to travel...

... look to the friendly air line staff and they were very accommodating and we were able to fix the little issue...in applying for ETA I had one number wrong in the passport number...yes even with double checking...however all fixed and ready to fly.

...first flight to Christchurch was lovely...get onto flight to Auckland...turned to hubby and asked where his glasses were...oh left on first flight...ok, let friendly airline staff know and we continue on.

...time in Auckland quick and caught up with eldest daughter travelling.  Board a big plane...trip to Vancouver was fairly uneventful and most slept off and on...

Vancouver....

....a lovely flight in and Vancouver had fine weather....they have had a lot of rain....

Seemed to take ages to get through formalities but all the children were well behaved and in awe of things they saw or did...even level moving walkways....but once through we were able to pick up rental vehicle...

How does one adjust to driving on the opposite side of the road to home...with lots of prayer and concentration....

Changing slightly...we left autumn to come to spring...

...on arriving at our motel...we were greeted with a lovely gift (full of Canadian treats )from a friend who had worked on our farm 9 years ago...she and her husband were our tour guides last night and took us out for tea...introducing us to Poutine...which is fries(chips), gravy and cheese curds...we also enjoyed the night lights...

After a good nights sleep...we attempted breakfast..say attempt as we wanted to eat but when we ate we couldn't really finish it...by later in the day we came right...

Managed to fellowship with a lovely gathering of Christian believers, who welcomed us and some had friends from our country or knew someone or had been there.  So lovely for the younger members of the family to also enjoy others their age to spend time with. ...

After the meetings and lunch...we headed back for a rest which all needed and then out for tea to the Vancouver Conference and Gospel meeting...unbeknown to us another "internet" friend was there and it was lovely to briefly catch up with them.
So after our start here we are feeling thankful to have arrived safely and for the many new people we have meet...as well as our friend and her husband who have been so good to us.

Thank you for taking the time to catch up...till next time...enjoy the day the Lord has given you :)
