A Day of Contrasts....

Before we share Thursdays adventures...we'll share a few more photos from Lake Louise now that we have uploaded the photos..then we'll get back up to date :)

Coming and goings on the lake...near the start of the thaw

Roses coming through the thaw...heat of growing made a little tunnel around the branch

This bit of water never freezes...

Yesterday we were able to go up the gondola at Banff...for those in NZ our gondola in Queenstown, seemed little in comparison...some interesting things in Banff...even with all the tourists they still have small gondola carriages...and they are on the right hand side going up and down...ie the same way they drive on the road...small fact but interesting...This gondola went up to 2292 feet...straight up...photos may show better than words....then at the top an amazing view of GOD"S creation.

After leaving the beauty of Banff we traveled towards Calgary where the scenery changed into the prairies look....we saw the Alberta Children's hospital...it was a colourful

Hills in the distance are America...

Before arriving at our destination in Milk River, we stopped at a place called Head-smashed-in-buffalo-jump...google it.  From the site you had a panoramic of the plans in front of you.
We arrived at some friend's place and enjoyed a lovely, homely and full of children evening before our hosts came home and settled us into their place.
Friday is a quite time enjoying fellowship before we move onto  our next adventure...already today though the youngest has had a turn milking a cow...teenagers are enjoying time together...the farmer has enjoyed some farming and all feeling blessed...THANK YOU host families :)
