Unexpected adventures...

This post is a little different...we were starting our travels home, expecting to spend one and half days back in Vancouver, when we had a change in our adventures.   About an hour into flight, our daughter rose to use the bathroom and next minute collapsed in the ailse...so started a scenario that you just read about in the newspaper...
... after having a surgeon, family doctor and paramedic help out along with the Air Canada staff helping as well...the decision was made to land in Winnipeg...mother and daughter left the plane and Dad and three boys continued flying to Vancouver, managing to work through there time there.
...Daughter was met with an ambulance at the airport and we were transported to the emergency department of one of the hospitals in Winnipeg.  After observation we were released with no deterioration of symptoms....now are dilemma...we knew no one in Winnipeg, however we had met someone in Vancouver, who heard of our situation and they were able to contact a lovely older couple (he was a doctor) who came and picked us up at 11.45pm from the hospital and housed us for the night.  The wife was able to help us with heading back to hospital on Friday to get medical clearance to fly...it's interesting how you watch the clock and have to leave all in GOD"S hands for timing and all the situation.

We were able to fly from Winnipeg to Calgary before arriving in Vancouver to meet up with the guys and fly home.  Some interesting facts...we hadn't planned to go to Winnipeg but GOD showed us the area that another daughter is moving to for camp work next week...then we saw Calgary area from the air...we had just by passed on the road...we flew over the Rockies and saw a little...we met some other Christians and were able to fellowship, as well as have a contact for our daughter...we experienced the power of prayer and the pulling together of the house hold of faith in our situation...we are thankful that we don't feel our holiday ruined but an experience that was not planned and worked out well.
